Assembly Complex is a unique, collaborative, and site-specific commissioned artwork rooted the aesthetics, history and technologies of the arts of the Silk Road, mural arts and contemporary conceptual practice. The images and designs are based on the artists' collaborative processes using hand-made, computerized imaging and machine produced elements; composed as a complete artwork specially created for this site. The process of the creation of this artwork includes original hand painted geometries, matrixes and forms from a variety of eastern, western, experimental, decorative, fashion and geometric arts strategies. This is the artists' first collaboration, Mr. Vargas-Suarez's first public art project in Central Asia and Ms. Ashimbaeva's first commissioned artwork.
